A clear and biblical pathway to follow Jesus and fish for men

The Lord used the 4 day intensive training to shift my heart to be more like His.

Even after years of studying the Word of God, this time in the Word challenged my understanding of God’s desire for His people and His plan to mobilize them to their neighbors and the nations.

This training also gave me a clear and biblical pathway to follow Jesus and fish for men – highlighting patterns set by Jesus, His disciples, Paul, and Paul’s many co-laborers.

I have attended several of these trainings over the years and I give it a 5 out of 5 star rating. I highly recommend it.

Generations of disciples and church the Lord has given

I worked as a pastor for many years wondering if there was a way to do ministry closer to the patterns of Jesus I saw as I read the New Testament. It was at a Four Fields Intensive in 2016 that I was first exposed to the missional strategy of Jesus and the early church in a clear way.

I also saw simple tools and ways to seek to live these principles out in my day life and to help others do the same.

Since that time, it has been amazing to the see the fruits of generations of disciples and church the Lord has given as we have walked this path. The Four Fields Intensive has a 5 star rating in my book!

Huge for both my understanding and application

This training was crucial to my understanding of the core missionary task.

Biblically understanding how Jesus and Paul lived out a life centered on God entering into new places, sharing the good news, discipling others, gathering as church and identifying and equipping leaders was paramount to my growth and reaching others for Jesus.

This training was biblically sound and simple enough to understand and reproducible enough to equip others.

The in-depth scripture study paired along simple and reproducible tools was huge for both my understanding and application personally and corporately.

My eyes were opened in a life-changing way

I did not realize how unclear my discipleship training pathway was. And I could not see how that was restricting the disciples I made from making disciples.

When I was a part of a 4 Fields Intensive, my eyes were opened to see Jesus as a ministry model. The Four Fields pathway leaped off the pages of the Bible (was that always there??) and I left with a major game-changing shift in my perspective.

The pathway became clear.

And after that, the disciples I trained began to walk out the same life-changing journey and learn to make and multiply disciples, leaders, and churches the way Jesus did it.

My single biggest barrier…was finally broken

After 4 days of in-depth scripture study, best practices, and pathways towards multiplicational disciple making and church planting, my single biggest barrier, how to do it and teach others to do the same was finally broken.

5 years of trying to make disciples without all of the extras that money and complex church structures affords created the environment of failure that readied my heart to see and understand the core activities of Acts, and the 4 Fields Intensive was the catalyst.

Opened my eyes to the biblical basis of Jesus’ mandate

Going through a four fields intensive helped open my eyes to the biblical basis of Jesus’ mandate to make disciples. I have believed for many years that the words of scripture are inspired by God and truthful… but the main question the four Fields intensive answered was not only “what is the word of God?” but “what are the ways of God?”

It says in 1 John 2:6 – “whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.” I have proclaimed to abide in Him for many years, but through the four fields intensive trainings, it helped me to understand how to actually walk in the same way that Jesus and His disciples walked. We are pursuing Jesus and his mission, we are not pursuing ourselves and our own mission.

If we are pursuing Jesus’s mission, doesn’t it make sense that we pursue his mission the same way that He did? That his disciples did? That the first Church did?

Jesus modeled His process for Kingdom growth that the disciples followed. (See the illustration above)

A farmer goes to an empty field and scatters seed all over the field.

There’s nothing he can do to cause the seed to sprout, but once it does, he nurtures the new growth.

When the harvest is ready, he gathers the crop together.

Then he takes some of the seed from that harvest to sow in other empty fields.

Doing what Jesus did is a return to more than His model for morality. It Is a call to make disciples and plant churches how He and His disciples did.

Much like the farmer described in parable in the section above, Jesus showed his disciples how to

Go to people who had not heard
Share the Gospel
Teach new disciples to obey His commands
* Bring them together to be church
Develop leaders to keep the process going

This Intensive Training and Coaching trains disciples for local ownership of this core missionary task.

For God’s vision to be reality in every people group and place, we must equip, care for, and release every follower of Jesus to obey Matthew 28:18-20.

We use simple tools and reproducing processes, starting right here at home.

We understand that time is valuable. The "intensive" part of the training format accelerates learning by being a part of a community of practice during a concentrated time together. We have found that the results speak for themselves and the time is well worth the investment. You’ll leave equipped and ready to implement what you’ve learned immediately.

No, the Four Fields Training is completely free of charge. We follow Jesus's model in Matthew 10:8 and desire to give away freely what has been given to us. There are no hidden fees or costs, so you can focus entirely on learning and implementing.
